VENUE

The Venue

They just don't make 'em like they used to.

In one word, our venue is authentic.

For over a century our 100-acre, multi-generational farm was home to cows, pigs and chickens (you can still see the stalls downstairs), but today is host to dozens of events each year. You can still see bark on the old barn beams that were hand-hewn by our ancestors in the 1800's and still stand strong. We've given new life to many of the original features of the property: the hayloft was cleared to make room for dancing. The trough now serves drinks of a different kind. Our pastures (still actively farmed) now provide the perfect backdrop for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours. Many venues offer a rustic setting, but no amount of stain can recreate the decades of love and hard work that have left their mark on our farm.

The pictures could never do it justice, so come take a tour and see for yourself.

The Barn

Our iconic hayloft boasts original post and beam construction, weathered wood and soaring ceilings. There are doors and windows on all sides spilling out to scenic areas. This means plenty of air flow, the ability to close some or all of them if the weather demands, and of course endless photo opportunities. We have blurred the lines of in and out so that your event can easily spill outside if desired.
The barn has been tastefully and simply decorated with string lights, burlap and other rustic decor. You're welcome to add your own personal touch and browse from our collection of rustic supplies. With lots of interesting antique pieces, centerpiece materials, whiskey barrels, vintage pieces, and signs – you will have a delightful time infusing your influence with ours.

Dining Area

With over 2,500 square feet of space, the barn can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated reception. Our tables and chairs are included in the rental fee, and can be setup in a variety of configurations to best fit your group. We offer a linen package that includes ivory tablecloths, a burlap runner and wood slab centerpiece base for each table.

The Bar

We converted the original granary into a fully-functioning bar. Adorned with a live-edge wood plank original to the property, our 13-foot bar features a sink, mini-fridge, mason jar lighting, ample storage and tractor seat bar stools. Regardless of which bar option to choose, your staff will find the bar area functional and easy-to-navigate.

The Loft

Our loft sits on top of the bar and and overlooks the dance floor and main seating area--the best view in the house! This versatile space can accommodate up to 30 additional guests. It's also a great spot for photo booths, kids activity area, and dessert bars!

The Dance Floor

We believe the dance floor should be the center of the action, which is why it's literally in the middle of the barn. We've strung globe lights and white paper lanterns from the beams above to create a magical setting (especially at night). The original wood floor planks are not only beautiful, they've been reinforced from below so your guests can boogie all night long.
Here's a typical floorplan for one of our weddings. We will create a custom layout for your guest count and unique event features.

New Addition

Accessible restroom facilities, bridal suite and improved vendor space.

Restrooms weren't in the design plans when our barn was built in 1862, so for the first three seasons we rented a fancy restroom trailer. While it did the trick, it was inconvenient for guests to leave the barn to use the facilities--especially in cold or rainy weather. In spring of 2019 we decided to bite the bullet and put on two-story addition to bring restrooms inside the barn. We were also able to make some improvements while remaining withing the original footprint of the barn. We worked very hard with TCP Contracting, to keep the authentic rustic feel in our new space. Our guests love it!

Bridal Suite

Our cozy bridal suite is a perfect spot for the bride and her gals to get ready and hang out before the ceremony. It's also a great little getaway to take a deep breath or freshen up during the reception. It features a code-locked door so you and your bridal party have a safe place to leave your personal items.

Ladies Room

Two full handicap accessible stalls and a copper top vanity can be found in our ladies room.

Mens Room

Our mens room has a full stall and two urinals.

The Grounds

100 acres of pristine farmland nestled in the rolling hills of Central New York

The ambiance of the farm beckons back to a past era where life was simple, the land was part of your daily life, families were tight, and things were made to last. Our unique location showcases the serenity of rural life, the panoramic views that our region is famous for, plus the convenience of a tourist-friendly town located only 20 minutes from the city.

Ceremony Space

Give your guests the convenience of not having to travel between your ceremony and reception. Most of our wedding ceremonies are held in a beautiful outdoor space between our three barns. In the rare chance of rain, we transform the dance floor into an aisle and vows are exchanged in front of the loft window.

Your onsite ceremony includes:
  • NYS Licensed Officiant
  • Ceremony coordinator
  • Additional hour for your event (6 hours total)
  • Handmade arch made of tree branches
  • 6 church pews
  • Burlap aisle runner
  • Shepherds hooks, mason jars with babies breath
  • Rehearsal

Cocktail Hour

We have a number of spaces where your guests can enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres while the bridal party gets photographed. Many couples choose to host at the Watering Hole, where we've converted the trough into a rustic bar. The barn creates nice shade here in the afternoon. You can also hold cocktail hour in the barn or under a tent on the grounds nearby.

Parking

We have ample off-street parking in our lot adjacent to the main barn. Your rental includes parking attendants who direct traffic and use our new golf cart to transport any elderly or mobility-impaired guests. It's important to us that all guests get home safely and do NOT drink and drive. We'd be happy to recommend shuttle bus services and we encourage folks to leave their cars overnight if needed.
